Southwest Airlines recently celebrated its new uniforms and revamped aircraft interior during an in-flight fashion show.

The new uniform collection, with splashes of blue and pops of red, is a continuation of Southwest’s heart branding introduced in September 2014. All employees will begin wearing them in mid-June.

The last complete uniform redesign was in 1996. This time, employees helped design and test the uniforms.

“Our energetic employees are the heart of our airline, and they were the perfect choice to design and develop our new look,” Sonya Lacore, vice president of cabin services and executive sponsor of the uniform redesign project, said in a news release.

Inside the carrier’s new Boeing 737-800 jets, new blue seats provide “additional space and comfort with more leg room,” Southwest said. The planes have adjustable headrests, enhanced back and seat comfort and more room to hold personal belongings.

Southwest has three 737-800 aircraft with the new interiors flying in the system. The carrier plans to have 28 by year’s end.
